This is a great narrative about feral cats. Perhaps people need to be more educated so they won't have to leave ignorant comments.

Feral cats are a problem created by people. As removing and killing does not work, this is the way to go.

I am the local Field Rep. for SHARE Florida Food Network which could be helping more people if the word could get out about it. It's a food network, providing high quality nutritious food for 50% less than the supermarket prices. It's the same food that Publixs buys, but it's purchased in bulk and trucked out to host sites that provide volunteers to get it to the people who order it from a prepared menu each month. The program is fantastic and I would love to talk to you about it. Thanks.

I thought it was ILLEGEAL by State LAW to return feral animals back to the wild? If these people love cats so much, why don't they adopt them? If not they shoudl be destroyed. The amount of detruction cats do in the wild in terrible.

This story neglects to mention that feral cats are a non-native predator which puts stress on an already stressed environment.

Me and my wife we drove 140 miles to Cape Coral last weekend (14Feb/2008) to photographs those little creatures. We spend some great time over there and we will going back to photographs babies in a couples of week. Thansk Claude and Cristina Desrochers.

If it wasn't for Michele at Animal Compassion Project, Inc., my kitty would have been put down. There needs to be more people like Michele, Jim and Jan Rich, and Alley Cat Allies. These people are the greatest people in the world. My kitty is very happy, healthy and has lots of kitty friends. I can call about her anytime and visit her anytime. This is the truly best thing I could've done for my cat. Thanks Michele you are a lifesaver to the animals who has no say at all in what there future holds for them.

wish the City of Cape Coral was more pro active in promoting the wildlife here, this is certainly a neglected money maker for the city. I come here to enjoy the wildlife not the high-rises and shopping, otherwise i would live in Miami
