About Connect

An exciting multimedia initiative designed to give Southwest Floridians a dynamic place to explore ways to connect within the region’s diverse and ever-evolving communities. The project spotlights the following ways to connect:

• through the arts
• by volunteering
• by living green
• through wellness
• by exploring our region
• through grassroots activism
• through continual learning

WGCU-TV

• features a half-hour television show the first three weekends of every month
• spotlights inspiring examples of Southwest Florida’s unique people, places, organizations and opportunities

WGCU/WMKO-FM

• features a relevant topic from the week’s television show and welcomes audience input on its award-winning, live, call-in talk show, Gulf Coast Live! at noon the first three Mondays of every month

• serves as an archive for all of the television and radio segments and as a place for further online discussions
• invites the public to submit ideas for future program topics and to share the ways they personally Connect!
• features a repository of video, audio, and web-based information that will be accessible twenty-four hours a day…by anyone throughout the world.
