The Curious Kids TV show is taking a short hiatus from production over the summer, but watch for exciting new videos on WGCU-TV in the fall.  In late August, we’ll be back at it, shooting some super interesting new segments. Let’s Get Curious is the theme for the next show, and the Curious Kids cast will be heading out into beautiful Southwest Florida equipped with lots of questions. Is a batfish like a bat? How does water travel from Lake Okeechobee to the Charlotte Harbor Estuary? Do some foods give you more energy than others?  A fun visit to the upcoming Digital Graffiti exhibit at the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples gets the kids fired up about technology of the future.  Stay tuned, there’s a lot to be curious about!

Rosie Emery was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but moved back to England with her parents when she was 4 years old. Growing up in the legendary Sherwood Forest, Rosie was passionate about animals and nature and was lucky enough to have several pets including a pony called Snibits, whom she would ride for hours at a time, exploring the beautiful countryside around her home. There is a beautiful 500 year old oak tree in Sherwood Forest, which is where Robin Hood is said to have hidden from the Sheriff of Nottingham! The tree is hollow inside and as a child, Rosie would often ride over there and hang out inside the tree, dreaming about all the events that tree had witnessed.
