FGCU Research Roadshow: Sanibel

March 18 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

FGCU’s 2nd annual ‘Research Roadshow’ brings campus research to the community

Get an entertaining inside look at the wide-ranging research that faculty members and students work on together at Florida Gulf Coast University’s “Research Roadshow.” Three teams of faculty members and students will explain their projects and findings in this free multimedia event Wednesday, March 18 at the Sanibel Community House.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a reception, followed at 6:00 p.m. by the “Research Roadshow.”

This year’s presentations are:

SILENCE OF THE FROGS: What a 20-year study of the region’s frog population by FGCU professors and students tells us about the state of our environment.

DIGGING INTO THE PAST TO FORECAST THE FUTURE: Researchers pull samples from the ocean floor to read the sand from previous hurricanes to predict the nature of future storms.

MARRIAGE, MUSIC & MONEY: A student entrepreneur turns her love of music into a thriving wedding and special-occasion performance business that employes a dozen musicians.

RSVP now, as seating is limited.
