Food and Music: Tangled together by strings

Twisted Strings (TS) is all about bringing together unlikely yet amazing things.

TS decided to entangle food from all over Southwest Florida, not sticking to one type. The theme is yummy food and there are three local delights lined up so far.

The first main course option is real southern barbeque from Smokin R’s BBQ in Bonita Springs. With its perfect ratings across every website and thousands of satisfied reviews, this is some five-star barbeque that you don’t want to miss. Smokin R’s even pairs perfectly with the saucy tunes of the Violectric.

Once you’ve had your fill of smoky, it’ll be time for something sweet.

If you love warm and inviting deserts or just want a little something sweet to snack on while watching The Moxie Strings, give Dutchkinz from Naples a try. These folks will be cranking out fresh, never fried, Dutch beignets and poffers. There may even be a hidden apple surprise inside some of them.

And if powdered sugar and dough aren’t your thing. We have another sweet treat option, Mr. Ed’s Ice Cream & Shaved Ice from North Port.

Mr. Ed comes fully stocked with all the ice cream bars your mom did (sugar free/ fat free) and didn’t (full calorie goodness) let you have as a kid. In addition, if you’d prefer something refreshing, there will be shaved ice with a flavor station allowing you to twist and tangle your flavors in any manner you choose. This truck even make sure there’s something sweet for your furry friends. Who doesn’t love a classic ice cream truck?

Twisted Strings is looking for three more delicious food trucks to join the team.

Come one, come all and let’s chow down on some local eats while enjoying classical music with a twist!
