What’s your family story?

As part of a new television series being filmed for PBS, and airing in summer 2019, Family Pictures USA will be in Southwest Florida for a series of filmed interviews with Floridians to get their take on what has been described as The Paradise Coast – its past, present and future, as seen through the family photo album. Our theme is “Welcome to Paradise” and we want to illuminate what it is that draws people here from all over the country and the world to make their home in Southwest Florida.

Bring a selection of your favorite photographs – digital or actual photos – to our community photo-sharing sessions at: The Heights Center in Fort Myers, on Saturday, October 13, Or The Boys & Girls Club in Immokalee, on Saturday, October 20, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. You should plan on spending about an hour with our Family Pictures USA production team. After signing release forms, you will meet with a producer about your photographs and story, whip through hair & makeup, then have a 15-minute video interview; and then a 15-minute photography session, and finally stop at the scanning station to have your images digitized. All participants will receive a CD with their digitized images after the session.

Have a favorite memory of Naples, Everglades City, Immokalee, Fort Myers, LaBelle, or anywhere in the Southwest Florida area? Bring your photos and share!

Sessions are first come, first served … and interview spots at each location are limited to the first 100 people who sign up. To reserve your spot, please send an email to: info@FamilyPicturesUSA.com with “My Paradise Story” in the subject line. You can also call us at 1-877-4FPUSA3 (1-877-437-8723), or visit WGCU.org/FamilyPictures and sign up online.
